Increase your PC's performance

Most of these operations need Administrator's privileges.

Most of these settings will work on 2000 prof, xp,Vista

1. Start\all programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore\create a restore point with any name. ( for your safty )

2. My computer properties\Advanced\Performance\Settings\Visual Effects\Adjust for best performance (if your running on 1gb or less RAM)

You can view ur ram size from my computer properties.

3. My computer properties\Advanced\Performance\Settings\Data Execution Prevention\Turn on for all programs ( this'll protect from pen drive viruses)

You can get more help from windows help ( press F1 on desktop ) with DEP…

4. OS drive ( default it is c: ) properties\Disk Cleanup...\Check every thing\OK\ ( it'll delete all unnecessary data from your OS Drive )

5. start\run\%temp%\delete all files, some files will not be deleted because of some running processes.

6. start\run\inetcpl.cpl\Temporary Internet files\Settings\View Files\delete all files…

From 4,5,6 you'll get atleast 2 gb of disk space on ur OS drive ( ie more free space it'll give more performance )

7. OS drive properties\Tools\Backup Now…\Complete pc backup\select OS drive only\show the path to save Backup file ( other than OS drive ) like D or E…or DVD drive.

This 'll helps when ever u format your System drive u can restore all installed programs also

that means once again you no need to install System drivers, Ms-Office, Utility softwares like Vlcplayer and your personal settings.

to restore this you need to boot with os cd or DVD. For xp while booting from cd use f2 (ASR automatic system restore), for vista use complete pc restore.

8. If u found some thing wrong with these operations use the restore point ( which your created at 1. point )to get back your all settings.
